Service - Diagnosis

Challenge

A new leader was appointed to one of SSE’s main business divisions with very little knowledge of the division. The leader requested a rapid and accurate diagnosis to allow swift action to positively support the business.

What we did

We partnered with an internal change agent to broker access and relationships as well as keeping us culturally educated.

Over two weeks we had 40 focused interviews and several workshops.

Qualitative data was collected and analysed quantitatively to identify 4 hot spots and possible solutions.

This was then shared and discussed with the leader, leadership team and an extended leadership team.

We then facilitated sessions to create the initial action plan.

Outcome

The key themes of strength and opportunity/ problem areas were rapidly identified along with the degree of “heat” behind each one.

An action plan was derived from the diagnosis and we continued to support the business in terms of change agent development and sponsorship education.

This diagnosis led directly to several major improvements which boosted this division’s performance and standing in the industry. Now they are the industry benchmark in several key areas.
